Cut-price bargains for sun-seeking Britons
31.10.2008
Britons looking to buy property in Spain could find some great deals, according to a property expert.
Writing in the Times last week, Mark Stucklin said that buyers could find some "tempting deals" with buy-one-get-one free properties, multiple bargains and 40 per cent discounts.
Spanish property sales are down by an average of 27 per cent, with some areas such as Catalonia seeing drops of as much as 45 per cent.
Although the Spanish ministry of housing says prices are rising by 0.4 per cent, Mr Stucklin has said that that bargain prices may represent a return to more reasonable values after sky-high rates.
