Holidays in rural Spain offer good value
05.02.2009
Holidays in rural Spain are often "astonishingly good value", Daily Telegraph points out in an article.
According to the paper, small bed-and-breakfasts and traditional houses in the countryside are “ideal for family holidays”.
The high-speed train network enables holidaymakers to travel across the country from Barcelona to Seville or Malaga in under six hours, making country retreats more accessible.
One property recommended by the newspaper is La Cuadra, a three-bedroom traditional stone house in Asturias, which is surrounded by Orchids and boasts "fabulous" views.
Those who enjoy activities such as hiking or people who want to avoid the crowds at beach resorts are particularly likely to be attracted by such rural hideaways.
