More Brits looking to Spanish property market
27.03.2009
An increasing number of Brits looking for property abroad are considering the Spanish market, according to recent figures.
New statistics from PropertyIndex.com indicated that searches for homes in the country had risen by 121 per cent in the last 12 months.
Adam Samuel, director of overseas property site Nubricks, commented: "Now there's quite a lot of distressed or below-market-value properties on the market, while you're seeing up to 50 per cent reduction in price and it's bringing people out to buy.
"Even in an economic crisis there are still people with money and there are still people looking for bargains – those bargains are now becoming available."
