Tenerife tip for international property investors
06.11.2009
Tenerife has been described as being a more upmarket destination than the other Canary Islands, something that may influence the buying decisions of international property investors looking to tap into the tourist rental sector.
Spokesperson for holiday firm Travel Counsellors Jayne Nuttall said: "Tenerife has more four and five star and deluxe properties than other Canary Islands", adding that locations such as Costa Adeje are popular upmarket localities.
She also noted, however, that the island possesses "a wide range of properties suitable for all budgets".
Another one of the Canary Islands that may arouse interest is Lanzarote.
The Times recently reported that it has enjoyed greater price stability than the rest of Spain, with values dropping by a third as much of the national average.
Lanzarote and Fuerteventura are also among islands receiving new flight services from low-cost airlines easyJet and Monarch, with new routes operating from Birmingham, Manchester and Liverpool, as well as London airports Gatwick, Stansted and Luton.
