Moving abroad to Spain may get even cheaper
14.10.2009
Those thinking of moving abroad to Spain may find that it gets even cheaper to do so as property prices could be set for more falls.
Spanish property portal Kyero.com noted that the latest figures from appraisal company Tinsa showed the average price to have dropped 8.3 per cent in the year to September, representing an easing of the decline.
The website commented that this may suggest a bottoming out of the market, but could also be just a hiatus in a long downward trend.
It observed that coastal prices "lurched lower again" in September after showing some signs of stabilisation over the summer.
Those keen to buy in Spain may wish to monitor trends in the country’s property prices to see if this is the case, which could help them acquire a bargain.
Spain was recently hailed as a great place to buy low-cost homes.
