BA to offer year-round Barcelona flights from London City

British Airways will continue to expand its portfolio of services to Spain from London City airport this year with the introduction of year-round flights to Barcelona.
The route - which was previously limited to the summer season - will be introduced at the end of March and will continue to operate throughout the year.
An additional Saturday morning service will be available from May, making it possible for travellers to choose from seven weekly services to Barcelona from London City with BA.
The airline is making a number of changes to its Spanish network from the airport this year, with flights to the Balearic islands of Mallorca and Ibiza set to get underway in May.
Travellers can also fly to Madrid from London City with the carrier.
Luke Hayhoe, commercial manager of BA CityFlyer, the subsidiary that will operate the service, said: 'The Spanish destinations are proving extremely popular from London City airport.
'Barcelona has traditionally operated as a summer-only destination but there is a big demand from both business and leisure passengers for us to continue through the winter.'
Passengers can check in online up to 24 hours before departure and will receive free snacks and drinks onboard.
